The stats are compelling when it comes to Carl Young’s success as a fundraiser and nonprofit leader. One of Carl’s biggest achievements was overseeing the growth of Peter Mac’s fledgling face-to-face program to become the main driver of fundraising growth. A well-defined operational plan, straightforward processes and systems, clear KPIs, rigorous due diligence and an emphasis on best practice fundraising provide a strong foundation for Carl’s fundraising team. Championing collaboration, supporting a test-and-learn environment, and keeping staff up to date with new trends add the sauce that led to an FIA Team of the Year award in 2019. Carl is deeply involved in the sector. He is a key figure in the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) and instrumental in implementing the FIA Code. A highly respected fundraiser, he never hesitates to share his expertise and insight with colleagues and peers.
